The first veteran our organization helped was in 2018 and he was a WWII, Korea, and Vietnam veteran. He needed grocery's and back rent, we raised $950 to help him.
Since then we have helped multiple veterans, including SSGT Caldwell who needed to get back to Kansas for his kid's mother's funeral.
We just helped a lady get back to Denver after she was abandoned at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally of 2022.
We just helped a veteran who is currently in the Hot Springs VA hospital drug & Alcohol Rehab program get to Memphis for his mother's funeral. The veteran Larry Lee will fly out August 16, 2022.
CURRENT PROJECT (COMPLETED!!!!)
We completed the install of a new shower for a WWII veteran who was in the European Theatre. He tells me his group was the Engineering group whose job it was to keep the Remagen Bridge over the Rhine open for the Allied troops to cross. Bill completed the install. The veteran loves it!!!

The groups that helped with material and money were, Knecht's Lumber Yard, Northwest Pipe, Black Hills homebuilders Association, and The Black Hills chapter of Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association. All their assistance was crucial to the success of the project.
Paul Rodriguez (VHHP Treasurer) and Jerad rebuilt the sagging rafters, installed better insulation, sheet rocked the ceiling, and repaired the roof on veteran Walt who lives in Belle Fourche, SD. VHHP paid for all material and the labor was free. Walt is now lives in a very comfortable DRY home.

We helped veteran Cindy from Newell, South Dakota with a door replacement, plus redo window trim, calk windows, and seal edge of roof. Jesse & Sam Komes, two veterans from Newell, just finished replacing the door with a new exterior door. Pictures below:
All the money in the checkbook has been spent repairing homes. We are at a dead stop until we receive more donations from caring people like you.
Dave and Tim Harless have been used recently for suicide intervention, Ryan, and Logan. We were able to pull Ryan back from the "edge" but he became discouraged about the lack of progress and went back home and to alcohol.
Logan was pulled back from the "edge" by another group but they didn't offer job skills so they asked us. We currently have Logan working, building things, and happy. Look at the smile on his face. Logan will need to stay under "our wing" for some time, but this is a start.
We just completed a walk-in shower, and sink repair for a Grenada veteran Steve Weir. Under the sink was completely rotted out and the plumbing and sink needed to be changed. Steve had a used sink for us to install. Steve couldn't get into his tub surround so we changed it to a walk-in shower.
